To be eligible, students must meet the following minimum conditions at the time of the competition:
- Be currently enrolled at their university (undergrad or postgrad level, local or international)
- Have completed at least one session of study towards their degree; and
- Still have at least one session left to complete towards their degree.
Students must also:
- Be available to commit to all Univative related events, including (but not limited to) the onboarding session, launch and training session, final presentation and finale event;
- Must be available during the winter break to commit sufficient time to project work, including weekly scheduled team meetings; and
- Must be willing and available to be an active participant in the program
